From 27 to 30 January 2026, Flanders will once again position itself as an important driving force for global horticulture at the International Plant Fair (IPM) in Essen. With an attractive stand concept, innovative plant novelties and sustainable solutions, the region demonstrates why it has been a cornerstone of this leading trade fair for decades.

At the spring edition of Florall, which took place on 4 March in Waregem Expo, 60 producers and 15 suppliers and export companies presented their spring offerings. This offer consists of a fairly complete range of green and flowering houseplants, in addition to all kinds of visually attractive plants with applications in the garden, on the terrace or in the living room. The exhibitors were satisfied with the interest shown by visitors from home and abroad. There was some optimism, although some exhibitors pointed to the recent events on a global level and their possible impact on consumer confidence.

IPM Essen once again confirmed its role as a global leader in the horticultural trade fair industry. From January 28 to 31, 2025, 1,434 exhibitors from 45 countries participated in the event. More than 40,000 visitors, both national and international, attended the fair.

From February 5th to 7th, 2025, the global fruit, vegetable, and potato industry will meet in Berlin. 34 Flemish companies and organizations will present themselves at this edition at the joint stand of Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board (VLAM).

In January 2025, the heart of the international horticultural industry will beat in Essen, Germany. The Flemish producers will not miss this important industry event: 32 companies will be presenting themselves at the joint boots organized by Flanders' Agricultural Marketing Board (VLAM) from January 28 to 31, 2025.

The Flemish floriculture trade fair Florall can look back on a successful and festive edition with many attendees. To mark 30 years of Belgian trade fair, the Florall board made special efforts to pamper both visitors and exhibitors. Chairman Dries Verstraete emphasized the significant changes in the fair’s approach over the past three decades. “In the past, the fair was primarily a platform to show the product range for the coming season and to secure orders. Today, the focus is on personal connections, something that databases and online communication simply cannot replicate."

At the spring edition of Florall, which took place on March 5 at Waregem Expo, 67 producers and 13 supply and export companies presented their spring offerings.

In 2024, Messe Essen will hold the international trade fair for plants for the 40th time. The IPM has long since established itself as the world’s leading trade fair for horticulture. In this jubilee year, 32 Flemish horticultural companies will come along to present themselves at three joint stands under the umbrella of Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board, VLAM.

Once again, a professional jury awarded potentially interesting innovations. After an intense deliberation, in which the botanical characteristics, the possibilities for application and the added value in the garden center were weighed, the jury decided to award Rosa 'Green Summer' with gold.

From 8 to 10 February 2023, thirty-two Belgian suppliers of fruit and vegetables, potatoes and fruit trees, together with three trade associations and four fruit and vegetable auctions, will present themselves at the joint stand of Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board, VLAM, at Fruit Logistica in hall 27, at stand A 22.

IPM Essen is the place to meet for the international horticultural sector and Belgium has had several group stands since the trade fair’s inception. Flanders’ Agricultural Marketing Board (VLAM) will be present at the next edition, together with 36 Flemish horticultural companies.
